These Terms of Use and the Privacy Notice below (together, the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “the user”) and Case Bharat Solution LLP, a limited liability partnership incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (LLPIN: ACY-7614) (“CBS”, “we”, “us”, “our”), which operates the AskCAB platform (“AskCAB”, “the Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may revise these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will require you to review and accept the revised Terms before continuing to use the Platform, and continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement.

1. What AskCAB is — and is not

AskCAB is a technology platform that helps users prepare, review and improve documents and obtain general information about the law in India. AskCAB is a software product. It is not a law firm, is not a substitute for a lawyer or other professional, and does not practise law.

Using the Platform does not create any advocate–client, attorney–client, or other professional relationship between you and CBS, and nothing produced by the Platform is, or should be relied upon as, legal advice, an opinion, or a recommendation for your specific situation. For advice on your particular circumstances, consult a qualified, enrolled advocate.

The methods, models, tools, processes and know-how used to operate the Platform and to produce its outputs are proprietary and confidential. Nothing in these Terms entitles you to any disclosure of them.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under Indian law. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. You may not use another person’s identity or impersonate any person or entity. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including where these Terms are breached.

3. The services

The Platform may make available, among other things:

  • Quick answers — general legal information generated with the assistance of automated systems, provided for information only and not as legal advice.
  • Document services — prepared documents and accompanying explanatory material intended for your own use.
  • Court-ready documents — drafting outputs intended for filing. These are available only to enrolled advocates. Where you request such outputs, you confirm that you are an enrolled advocate (or are acting under the responsibility of one), and you remain solely and fully responsible for reviewing, settling, verifying, and filing any such document and for its accuracy and suitability. AskCAB provides only a drafting tool; professional responsibility rests with the advocate.

We may change, add, or withdraw features at any time. The specific scope of any service is as described on the Platform at the time you use it.

4. No advice, no guarantee, verify before use

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • No outcome is promised or guaranteed. Law is fact-specific and changes over time. We do not warrant that any output is correct, current, complete, or suitable for your purpose.
  • Outputs are produced with the assistance of automated/AI systems and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • You must independently verify every output — and, where appropriate, have it reviewed by a qualified advocate — before relying on it, signing it, submitting it, or acting on it. You are responsible for how you use any output.

5. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and only for legitimate purposes, and you agree not to:

  • provide false, misleading, or unlawful information, or upload or submit any content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes any third party’s rights or contains another person’s personal data without authority;
  • use the Platform to engage in or facilitate anything unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive;
  • attempt to copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, probe, or derive the Platform’s source, models, methods, or underlying systems, or to circumvent any security, access, usage, or payment control;
  • resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Platform or its outputs except as expressly permitted; or
  • overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Platform or other users.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you submit, and for the consequences of how you use any output.

6. Fees, wallet, plans and refunds

Paid features are charged as displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase. Prices are inclusive of, or shown together with, applicable taxes (including GST) as indicated.

  • Wallet / plans / question packs carry the validity, limits, and usage terms shown at purchase. Wallet value, plan entitlements, and credits are for use on the Platform only, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated at purchase.
  • Unused entitlements expire as stated at purchase. We may update prices and plan terms prospectively.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your full payment-instrument details. You agree to the payment provider’s terms when you transact.

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at the grievance address above and we will review the matter in good faith.

7. Intellectual property

AskCAB is the copyright-protected product of its owner. All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including the AskCAB name, logo, and associated marks, the software, design, content, and all underlying materials, vest in the owner and are used by Case Bharat Solution LLP with the owner’s authorisation. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such right to you.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the deliverables we provide to you for your own matter. You may not remove any notice, watermark, or attribution from any output.

8. Privacy Notice

We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

  • What we collect. Information you provide when you register and use the Platform (such as your name, contact details, and the content and documents you submit), and limited technical information generated through use of the Platform.
  • Why we process it. To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Platform and the services you request, to communicate with you, to process payments, and to comply with law.
  • Consent. By accepting these Terms you consent to the processing described here. You may withdraw consent or exercise your rights (such as access or correction) by contacting us at the grievance address above; withdrawal may mean we can no longer provide some or all of the services.
  • Service providers. We use trusted third-party service providers to host, operate, and support the Platform, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations and only as needed to provide the services. We do not sell your personal data.
  • Retention. We retain personal data and submitted content only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
  • Security. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • Grievances. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact us at the grievance address above. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, data, goodwill, opportunity, or for any reliance on, or use or inability to use, any output.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform and these Terms, on any basis, shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CBS and its partners, personnel, and service providers from and against any claim, loss, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your inputs or content, your use of any output, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Suspension, termination and changes

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, suspected misuse, or as required by law. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 4, 7, 9, 10, and 12) will continue to apply.

We may revise these Terms; the current version is always the one published on the Platform. When we make material changes we will require you to accept the revised Terms before continuing to use the Platform.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any non-excludable right you have under consumer law, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform.

13. General

  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor or affiliate.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms (with any terms shown at the point of purchase) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform and supersede prior understandings.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

By continuing to use AskCAB you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.

AskCAB provides AI-assisted legal information and drafting support — it is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. All drafts must be reviewed by a qualified advocate before filing. India only.
